The first thing a person who has a cat should know is that cats eat to get necessary nutrients. It means that your cat eats as much food as he requires. Consequently, pet food should be full of proteins and not of carbohydrates. And cheap cat food is usually full of not very healthy elements and people get what they pay for.
Not many pet owners understand words on the label. So, when you look at it and see something like chicken, beef and not meat it is good. What is more, make sure that the ingredients discussed above (such as beef and chicken), are the first listed ones. And never forget to look at the expiration date. If you look at the label and see that it means all the requirements discussed above, the food is good and won’t be harmful. On the contrary, if there are chemicals such as BHT or BHA; corn meal as a filler; too much carbohydrates (there should be not more than 50 percent of grain in dry foods), don’t buy this food. And tell others not to.
